Brian Baldinger has been a little less active this season with his postgame breakdowns. Maybe he has better stuff to do.
But this week he did so many Eagles/Cowboys clips that we can’t even share them all. There are just too many. So we grabbed seven of them to take a look at instead, starting with:
.@Eagles @JalenHurts to @1kalwaysopen_ on 4-3! But make no mistakes about who is in charge…St Nick making these decisions. He is just wired perfectly for this team and this city. Who doesn’t love a magical Fall? #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/FLNkQtTjML

“What a beauty this play is”
They had a couple of instances in this game where they ran the ball on 3rd down, knowing they were in four-down territory. Good game management on the offensive side of the ball. And good on DeVonta Smith for nailing the rub route and getting the timing right, because it’s something they’ve been flagged for in the past. Lane Johnson also had a really nice edge seal on that play.
.@Eagles @dallascowboys one team doesn’t beat themselves and that’s the Birds. @jordan_mailata knows the rules. Fowler in neutral zone on 4-4. Next play @BoobieMilesXXIV punches it in from the 5. Running it in from the 5 is much more satisfying than throwing it #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/E57xahrE3c

“You can’t teach intelligence”
I could watch Baldy break down Jordan Mailata film all day long. Maybe we get a special segment one of these days where it’s only left tackle talk. It’s hard to fathom that he’s still relatively new to the game of football.
.@Eagles take control of the division over @dallascowboys doing it their style. The fellas up front need to eat and that’s what they did to the speed and playmakers of the Cowboys. #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/xbeBDNDsKI

“Some days you go out there and you’re on the Schuylkill Expressway and you just want to clear the traffic, just get it out of the way”
I believe this is actually every day you’re on the Schuylkill. Good shout on the “butt block” as well.
.@Eagles @JasonKelce not everyone has a “flipper” the way Kelce does. Maybe it’s that star on the side of those helmets that makes him FLIP. This film room is electric today. #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/R0Uoqm5lyX

“He puts the whole body into his flipper”
Saw this Sunday night on the broadcast. It’s always crazy to me how stout Kelce is in these situations. He gets a ton of credit for his mobility and blocking in space, but he really does have a lot of straight-up strength in pass protection as well. Kelce does this to bigger guys with regularity.
.@dallascowboys v @Eagles this game is an analysts dream. Cowboys looking to get out of a first half crypt and then the Birds put a 4 th Q drive together playing #BullyBall. Beautiful execution and play calling. #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/caqqADq3ms

“They just pounded ’em inside”
Good variety of running plays in this game. They ran some outside zone in the first half, some counters, some inside zone. Baldy also showed that pitch play too, coming out of the pistol. It was definitely a diverse approach, and they did it with multiple ball carriers as well.
.@Eagles the trade for @CGJXXIII was a fleecing by the Birds. He can play anywhere on the field and he is a crisp tackler. The secondary is a true brotherhood; as tight as it gets. Tough to get the ball over their heads #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/abmGvlTnhN

“It’s a toss up between Buffalo and Philly for best secondary in football”
Low key underrated storyline here, Chauncey Gardner-Johnson. He hadn’t played a ton of safety in his latter two years with the Saints, so for him to have a big breakout game on prime time, and shake off the hand injury at the same time, that’s a big turning point for the Eagles moving forward.
.@Eagles @bigplay24slay SLAYED the young QB in Dallas but not many have the skills of Slay. Qk eyes. Lightning fast reaction time makes this bingo possible. Secondary is second to none. #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/VbVVWQ0ZvR

“This is where Slay becomes special”
He really does find the ball quickly. He gets his head turned and processes information at a very high rate. There’s a reason the dude is a four-time Pro Bowler.
