The NFL handed down fines to three different Bucs players from moments in their Week 2 win over the Saints, according to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network.
The least surprising was to running back Leonard Fournette for his altercation with defensive back Marshon Lattimore that escalated into a brawl. This then led to an ejection of both Mike Evans and Lattimore. Fournette and Lattimore were both fined $13,367 for unnecessary roughness.
In an unrelated situation that is separate from the fight, cornerback Carlton Davis III was fined $13,261 by the league or unsportstmanlike conduct and inside linebacker Devin White received a fine of $11,139 for unnecessary roughness as well from a different play.

Tom Brady was not fined for any involvement in the Evans-Lattimore altercation. Brady was first exchanging words with Lattimore, which led to Fournette getting involved before Evans shoved the Saints defensive back. The FOX cameras picked up Evans talking with the referee after saying “That’s Tom Brady, what you want me to do?” before he was ejected.
Evans did not get any additional fines other than his one game suspension. He will not receive a game check for Week 3 because of it. Evans appealed his suspension on Tuesday but it was upheld.
Bucs Missing A Lot Of WRs
The Bucs will be limited at wide receiver in their home game against the Packers. Evans is suspended, Chris Godwin is out with a hamstring injury and Julio Jones, who didn’t play last week, is questionable with a knee injury.
Their top receiver after that is Russell Gage, who is also dealing with a hamstring issues. Gage has had a pedestrian start to his Bucs tenure so far, recording seven catches for 41 yards in two games. Breshad Perriman will have an increased role again and he came up in a huge way last week, making a 28-yard touchdown catch to give the Bucs their first lead of the game in the fourth quarter.
Wit Evans unavailable, the Bucs also signed veteran wide receiver Cole Beasley on Tuesday. They elevated him to the active roster Sunday and should get some playing time. It’s not exactly known what type of role Beasley can have after just three practices with his new team this week.
