2022 Wyndham Championship Odds and Predictions

The PGA Tour is in Greensboro, North Carolina for the $7,300,000 Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Country Club. Tony Finau will put his threepeat bid on pause after winning the 3M Open and Rocket Mortgage Classic. Finau isn’t on the board, but we have the rest of the Wyndham Championship odds at TheSportsGeek.

The Wyndham Championship doesn’t exactly have a stacked field, but there are some recognizable names included in the tournament. However, this is typically a rest weekend for players gearing up for the next three weeks.

There are three tournaments worth $15 million approaching.

The Northern Trust, BMW Championship, and Tour Championship are all worth $15 million, as the season comes to a close soon. When the NFL begins, the PGA Tour winds down. There are no more majors on the schedule until 2023.

Value At The Wyndham Championship?
TheSportsGeek is going over the PGA Wyndham Championship odds board. We’re attempting to find the best value bets at Sedgefield Country Club. This Wyndham Championship field should make for a wide-open tournament in North Carolina.

Check out what we have below for the best Wyndham Championship odds and our Wyndham Championship betting picks at Sedgefield Country Club. Also, check out the top golf betting sites for your Wyndham Championship betting experience.

Wyndham Championship Betting Odds

Scanning the Wyndham Championship odds board doesn’t yield any top names on the PGA Tour. This isn’t a massive field, but golf fans are going to notice some of these players.

Shane Lowry and Billy Horschel are participating in the Wyndham Championship. Rookie of the Year winner, Will Zalatoris, is also participating at Sedgefield Country Club. Zalatoris looks like a guy running out of gas late in the season.

Zalatoris has come close and will win his first PGA title, but after a disappointing showing last week in Detroit, he looks ready for the offseason.

Maybe he picks himself up and finds some juice this week in North Carolina.

Zalatoris is not the favorite at Bovada, but he is the favorite or co-favorite elsewhere. I’m just not overly confident after he didn’t have much confidence last week. Sunjae Im, Zalatoris, and Horschel are the first three favorites.

Who Won The Wyndham Championship?
It was an entertaining tournament last year, as Kevin Kisner outlasted five other golfers in a six-man playoff. That’s what you like to see in a smaller tournament. Jim Herman got Horschel at the wire two years ago for a one-stroke win at -21.

Wyndham Championship Predictions

Billy Horschel (+2000)

Billy Horschel must be worth a look at these Wyndham Championship odds. My odds have him as a top-3 golfer in this field, so at +2000, Horschel is tempting for a bet to win at Sedgefield Country Club.

Horschel was the runner-up in the Wyndham Championship in 2022. He put together a solid tournament but came just short against Jim Herman. Herman caught fire down the stretch in the fourth round. It wasn’t because Horschel played poorly.

He’s always liked coming to this golf course. It’s likely that Horschel is going to feel comfortable on this track. Along with finishing runner-up in 2020, Horschel has finished in the top-11 four times since 2016.

Horschel has shown good form recently. He won the Memorial Tournament in June, with a four-stroke advantage over Aaron Wise at Muirfield.

His effort at The Open was commendable as well at St. Andrews. Horschel finished -9 for T21. In his first tournament since The Open, he has to be circled to win at Sedgefield.

Russell Henley (+2200)

If you want an off-the-radar golfer that probably won’t get much attention, Russell Henley is a solid pick. Henley is coming off a strong performance at the Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit and had a win in this tournament in his sights last year.

Henley had everything working for him at the 2021 Wyndham Championship until it wasn’t.

He had the lead and let it get away down the stretch. Henley could have made sure that there wasn’t a six-man playoff, but couldn’t hold on and slipped to 14.

FRUSTRATING CONCLUSION
Henley failed to get it done down the stretch, as he finished at -14, while a -15 was required to enter the playoff. It shouldn’t have come down to that, as he shot +1 on the final day to drop six spots on the leaderboard.

The 33-year-old finished T10 at the Detroit Golf Club on Sunday for a respectable tournament. It’s his best finish since T13 at the Players Championship in March. Expect Henley to have a strong outing in North Carolina this week as well.
