An 18-week NFL season led to some significant changes in the 2022 Super Bowl odds. The Cincinnati Bengals and Dallas Cowboys are among the biggest movers, while the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are still two of the favorites ahead of Wild Card Weekend.
Here’s a look at each of the 14 playoff teams and the path they traveled this season to get into the playoffs, as well as where you can still find some value in the updated Super Bowl odds.

AFC
Tennessee Titans (+850)
Best Super Bowl odds: +850 (FanDuel Sportsbook)
Preseason odds: +2000
First-round matchup: Bye
An underwhelming top seed in the AFC, the Titans managed to withstand injuries to key skill position players and could be healthier in the playoffs with running back Derrick Henry expected to return. They have some offensive limitations that cast doubt on their Super Bowl potential, but they're also a physical team that tends to show up consistently.
Kansas City Chiefs (+500)
Best Super Bowl odds: +500 (BetMGM)
Preseason odds: +450
First-round matchup: -12.5 vs. Steelers
Expectations were sky-high for the Chiefs before they staggered to a 3-4 start to the season. That was the buy-low point on Kansas City, which has since gone 9-1, with its only loss coming on a last-second field goal at Cincinnati in Week 17. The defense helped turn the tide, and now the Chiefs' offense appears to have returned to its elite level, too. As a result, Patrick Mahomes and Co. have the shortest odds in the AFC.
Buffalo Bills (+800)
Best Super Bowl odds: +800 (BetOnline)
Preseason odds: +1100
First-round matchup: -4 vs. Patriots
The Bills were supposed to be contenders this year, and that looked to be the case after they drilled the Chiefs in Kansas City in Week 5. Some midseason inconsistency included a loss at the Jacksonville Jaguars and a blowout home defeat to the Indianapolis Colts, but four straight wins to wrap up the regular season has hopes rising in Buffalo.
Cincinnati Bengals (+2000)
Best Super Bowl odds: +2000 (BetMGM)
Preseason odds: +15000
First-round matchup: -6 vs. Raiders
The world might not have been buying such an impressive comeback season for Joe Burrow, because the Bengals' preseason odds were the longest of any team in the playoffs. But a healthy Burrow playing alongside former college teammate and star rookie wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase made a big difference, quickly. Cincinnati's Week 17 win against Kansas City was a good indication that the Bengals can do some damage in the playoffs.
Las Vegas Raiders (+6000)
Best Super Bowl odds: +6000 (DraftKings Sportsbook)
Preseason odds: +8000
First-round matchup: +6 at Bengals
The Raiders didn't enter the season with great expectations, and there wasn't much reason to like their chances until they won four games down the stretch to finish 10-7. Those four wins came by a total of just 12 points, but that was enough to get the Raiders into the playoffs, and they got star tight end Darren Waller back from injury. However, it'd be a surprise if this team went on a playoff run.
New England Patriots (+2200)
Best Super Bowl odds: +2200 (FanDuel)
Preseason odds: +3000
First-round matchup: +4 at Bills
With a rookie quarterback, it's not all that surprising the Patriots started the season 2-4, but they reeled off seven straight wins behind a sturdy defense and improved play from Mac Jones. Then the Patriots lost three of four after their Week 14 bye as Jones struggled, and now big questions hover over the rookie quarterback, who's shown potential but may not be equipped to lead a Super Bowl run just yet.
Pittsburgh Steelers (+9000)
Best Super Bowl odds: +9000 (FanDuel/DraftKings)
Preseason odds: +5000
First-round matchup: +12.5 at Chiefs
The Steelers slogged their way through the regular season, and though they've shown some resilience, they're the lowest-scoring team in the playoffs and look overmatched in the Wild Card Round against the Chiefs. There may be some additional motivation with this being Ben Roethlisberger's last run, but it's unlikely that'll be enough to get the job done.

NFC
Green Bay Packers (+400)
Best Super Bowl odds: +400 (BetMGM)
Preseason odds: +1400
First-round matchup: Bye
There's a lot to be said for the Packers' consistency. They won seven straight after opening the season with a disappointing loss, and they reeled off five consecutive wins again later in the campaign before losing to the Detroit Lions in Week 18. Aaron Rodgers, Davante Adams, and Aaron Jones are among the very best at their positions. The defense had its moments of promise, but it also surrendered at least 30 points five times, so there could be some vulnerability there.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+850)
Best Super Bowl odds: +850 (BetMGM)
Preseason odds: +700
First-round matchup: -8.5 vs. Eagles
The defending champions entered the season with big expectations, and there was a lot to like about their performances this season en route to a 13-4 record. However, after losing Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown, the receiving corps isn't as deep as it was just a few weeks ago, but betting against Tom Brady in the playoffs isn't exactly a path to riches.
Dallas Cowboys (+1200)
Best Super Bowl odds: +1200 (DraftKings/BetMGM)
Preseason odds: +3000
First-round matchup: -3 vs. 49ers
Much like the Bengals, Dallas faced some skepticism with quarterback Dak Prescott returning from a major leg injury after playing just five games in 2020. Prescott was more conservative this season but still finished with a career-high 37 touchdown passes, and the Cowboys have the weapons to be competitive. Dallas will need all of its playmakers - on both sides of the ball - to step up for a playoff run that could ultimately require beating Brady or Rodgers to get out of the NFC.
Los Angeles Rams (+1000)
Best Super Bowl odds: +1000 (DraftKings/BetMGM)
Preseason odds: +1200
First-round matchup: -4 vs. Cardinals
Los Angeles was right in line with expectations this season, at least relative to other playoff teams. The Rams jumped out to a 7-1 start, which likely raised the ceiling for them, but a three-game losing streak around the middle of the season cast some doubt. A five-game winning streak followed that skid before the overtime loss to the 49ers in Week 18. That left the Rams with a 2-5 record against playoff teams.
Arizona Cardinals (+2500)
Best Super Bowl odds: +2500 (DraftKings)
Preseason odds: +3500
First-round matchup: +4 at Rams
There was reason for optimism about the Cardinals entering the campaign, and those preseason prices offered some upside, especially when Arizona opened with seven straight wins. However, the Cardinals lost four of five to finish the regular season, and if injured star wideout DeAndre Hopkins can't return for the playoffs, it's hard to imagine Arizona moving the ball effectively enough to match other NFC contenders.
San Francisco 49ers (+2500)
Best Super Bowl odds: +2500 (Bet365)
Preseason odds: +1400
First-round matchup: +3 at Cowboys
Hopes for the 49ers reached a low point with a four-game losing streak early in the season. The Niners clawed their way back into the playoffs, going 7-2 to finish the campaign - a stretch that included overtime wins at the Bengals and Rams. There's potential here if Jimmy Garoppolo can play at a high level, because he has weapons: George Kittle and Deebo Samuel are high-end playmakers, and Brandon Aiyuk had his two most productive games in the last two weeks of the regular season.
Philadelphia Eagles (+6600)
Best Super Bowl odds: +6600 (BetOnline)
Preseason odds: +10000
First-round matchup: +8.5 at Buccaneers
Most didn't have high expectations for the Eagles, and that continued to be true when they started the campaign 2-5. Though Philadelphia might have a puncher's chance, the Eagles were 0-7 against playoff teams this season, and a first-round matchup with the Bucs in Tampa Bay is a big ask for a club that doesn't appear to have enough weapons for postseason success.
