Last week we went 2-1 ATS for the second consecutive week, winning with Oregon plus the points, although they didn’t need any in their stunning upset of Ohio State, while also cashing on over in the Toledo/Notre Dame tilt.
Our only loser was Navy as a moneyline underdog but we are looking to sweep the board in our college football picks this week!
Northern Illinois Huskies vs. Michigan Wolverines
Saturday, September 18, 2021 – 12:00 PM EDT at Michigan Stadium
The only thing Northern Illinois has going for it in this game is a decent offense but their lackluster defense will pave the way for a big Michigan victory. The Huskies are 1-1 on the season and began the year by shocking a lousy Georgia tech team, 22-21, as 19-point road hounds. Last week, they followed that up with a 50-43 home loss to Wyoming as seven-point home dogs.
The offense was clicking but the defense was missing and here they are, expecting to keep it close against a high-octane Michigan squad averaging nearly 40 points per game and surrendering just a dozen.
Northern Illinois does not have the depth nor the talent to keep this close with the Wolverines and if the 27-point impost scares you, don’t let it because this will be a Michigan victory along the lines of 52-14. Lay it and like it.

Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. Oklahoma Sooners
Saturday, September 18, 2021 - 12:00 PM EDT at Memorial Stadium
These teams haven’t played each other in over a decade but Saturday afternoon will see that streak broken when the two schools renew unpleasantries. Oklahoma has a prolific offensive attack, averaging 58 points per game while Nebraska looks almost pedestrian at 34 points per game.
And, while that appears to point to a high-scoring affair, we should keep in mind that each team comes equipped with stout defenses, the Huskers surrendering 13.3 points per game while the Sooners D checks in allowing 17 ½ PPG.
Granted, both teams have not played stiff competition thus far but I see a game in which the Huskers will try to maintain possession through a grindy, move-the-sticks, offensive approach to keep the Sooners' attack on the sidelines. Nebraska has racked up big rushing numbers and will employ that ground game to soften up the Oklahoma defense, which will also chew up time on the clock.
The squares will see Oklahoma and reflexively bet the over but we are going to take a contrarian approach and watch this game played in the low 50’s. Let’s go against the grain and bet under in this one and cash a ticket!
NCAAF Pick: Under 61 ½ (-108) at Heritage Sports (visit our Heritage Sports Review)
Auburn Tigers vs. Penn State Nittany Lions
Saturday, September 18, 2021 - 07:30 PM EDT at Beaver Stadium
Auburn has had a pair of cupcakes on their schedule to begin the season and did exactly what many believed they would do when they stomped Akron 60-10 and followed that up last week with a 62-0 dismantling of FCS entry, Alabama State.
Those who have backed the Tigers thus far are more than happy that they refused to take their foot off the neck of their overmatched opponents and covered the college football odds in both games as 37 and 49 ½ point home chalk, respectively.
But now they travel to Happy Valley to take on a Penn State team that began the season with a mild upset of Wisconsin and then a 44-13 waxing of Ball State last week. The oddsmakers are hanging Auburn as 6 ½ point road dogs but the Tigers won’t need a single one of those points.
This Tigers’ offense is led by Bo Nix, a junior quarterback who is only going to get better with an offensive line designed to keep his uniform clean and several quality targets like Shedrick Jackson and Demetris Robertson.
I don’t think Penn State will find the sledding easy against a tough Auburn defense and when the dust settles on this one, Auburn will have its third win of the season and a lot more respect from college football fans around the country.
