US 2024 Elections Jon Stewart, Kanye West, Megan Markle Feature Latest Celebrity Presidential Candidates for 2024 US Elections

President Donald Trump wasn’t the first celebrity to turn to politics. He won’t likely be the last either, even though his rein comes to a rather ignominious end after merely one term in office.

Ronald Reagan was the first celebrity-turned politician that was elected president of the United States, serving two very successful terms in office between 1981 and 1989. Unlike Trump though, Reagan laid the foundation for his political career by serving as the governor of California prior to running for president of the United States. Trump simply burst onto the scene, defying the political odds in 2016 to serve up one of the biggest upsets on the political landscape.

Nevertheless, the pair’s shared celebrity status in common proved to be the currency behind their respective political careers. That might encourage parties to deviate from the established pool of political candidates and get behind a celebrity instead in the future again.

Making the jump from showbusiness to politics is no mean feat. However, several celebrities have expressed interest in pursuing a presidential run, floating the idea of a bid in four years.

In response several top sportsbooks have rolled out odds for these potential celebrity candidates, and in this space, we look at these candidates and the corresponding serving of odds from Bovada (visit our Bovada Review) and BetOnline (visit our BetOnline review).

Sportsbooks Odds For 2024 US Presidential Celebrity Candidates

Michael Bloomberg (+3500)

Michael Bloomberg attempted a brief run at the 2020 US Elections before pulling the plug. Despite all the buzz and hype, the billionaire didn’t fair quite so well after entering the election cycle rather late. Whether he entertains another stab at the presidency remains to be seen, but both Bovada and BetOnline have rated Bloomberg’s chances nonetheless, rolling out political betting lines for a potential run in 2024. Bloomberg is trading at (+3500) with Bovada and (+4000) with BetOnline.

Kanye West (+5000)

Kanye West enjoyed a brief sojourn late in the 2020 US Election cycle as an Independent candidate with his self-styled “Birthday Party,” but it came to naught. The 43-year-old rapper conceded after collecting just 60,000 votes out of an estimated total of 160 million.

Bookmakers include Kanye West as a potential candidate in the betting on the 2024 US Elections, however there is quite the discrepancy in the odds. Bovada tips West at (+5000) while BetOnline tips West at a whopping (+10000).

Mark Cuban (+6600)

American Entrepreneur Mark Cuban was included within markets for the 2020 US Elections, but he never threw his cap into the race. Once again, Cuban is seeing odds for a potential run in 2024.

Jon Stewart (+7000)

American Comedian and former host of the Daily Show, Jon Stewart, features on the political odds board with both Bovada and BetOnline, trading at (+7000) and (+1000) respectively. Jon Stewart was the frontman of the widely popular fake news show that satirized current political events and politicians for 16 years before calling it a day in 2015. Since leaving the show, Stewart has pursued his interest in politics, current affairs and advocacy.

As yet, there’s no indication that Stewart is entertaining a run for US president, but the next election cycle isn’t set to get underway in earnest for four years…

Meghan Markle (+12500)

BetOnline has rolled out odds for Meghan Markle to become the president of the United States in 2024. Those odds are super long though, trading at (+12.500), which suggests unequivocally that she’s a massive longshot political pick at this stage to become the next Commander in Chief in four years. However, Markle has apparently made no secret about her “big” political aspirations to one day become the US president, according to her biographer. Sean Smith wrote in his biography, ‘Meghan Misunderstood’, that the future Duchess of Sussex had disclosed she wanted to be a president one day.
