Top Expert Spread Picks
Auburn +19.5 (-110 via FanDuel) vs. Alabama
Auburn has won the last two Iron Bowls in Jordan-Hare Stadium. Alabama has struggled to dominate against inferior SEC teams all season. Even with Bo Nix out for the year, you can expect a close game between the Tide and the Tigers. Alabama should win, but it will likely be neck-and-neck at halftime. - Cox
Georgia State -6.5 (-110 via DraftKings) vs. Troy
This is mostly a fade of Troy, which is in complete disarray following back-to-back double-digit losses and the firing of coach Chip Lindsey. Georgia State has the carrot of possibly sharing the Sun Belt East Division title with Appalachian State if GSU wins and the Mountaineers lose to Georgia Southern (very unlikely). Georgia State also has a shot to set a school record with eight victories and birth to a bowl game.
The Panthers have won five of their last six games, with the only loss a 21-17 defeat at No. 24 Louisiana in which GSU led until the final three minutes. It is one of the best rushing teams in the nation. Troy is 2-6 against the spread in its past eight. GSU is 5-1 ATS in its past six. - Jordan
Alabama -19.5 (-110 via DraftKings) vs. Auburn
Though this is arguably the best rivalry in college football, the Iron Bowl takes a ding this year with Auburn in the midst of a rebuild. Alabama still controls its own destiny to make the playoff. While Auburn is bowl eligible, all the 6-5 Tigers can do is play spoiler. They want nothing more than to ruin Alabama's season. Nonetheless, take Alabama at -19.5, one of our Week 13 expert picks. - Lipka
East Carolina +14 (-105 via DraftKings) vs. Cincinnati
After more than a month of trying to impress the College Football Playoff committee with style points and blowout wins, Cincinnati made history as the first Group of Five team to ever be included in the top four of the CFP rankings at any point. As a result, we expect the Bearcats to be complacent this week, with the playoff spot looking firm as long as they merely win out.
East Carolina had a 12-point fourth-quarter lead on Cincinnati the last time the Bearcats visited Greenville. The Pirates have thrived in their role as underdogs. They're 5-0-1 ATS in their previous six games as underdogs and are 8-1 ATS in their last nine conference games. Look for them to keep this game close, as Cincinnati will have one eye towards next week's AAC Championship. - Spector
Top Expert Over/Under Picks
Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma State Over 49.5 (-110 via FanDuel)
Oklahoma State's defense has been stellar, but Oklahoma is in a must-win game. Regardless of who starts at quarterback, the Sooners should be able to put points on the board. The Cowboys' offense has been surprisingly efficient despite losing two of the best skill players in the conference from last year. If OU scores early, both teams will have to play fast-paced and the Over will hit. - Cox
Vanderbilt vs. Tennessee Under 62.5 (-110 via DraftKings)
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Last week, we went Under 64.5 points on Vanderbilt-Ole Miss because the Commodores are so inept offensively. They lost 31-17. Despite poor defensive metrics overall, Vanderbilt is in the top 50 nationwide in third-down defense. We will go right back to the well here because even if the Dores reach 17 points, the Vols most likely aren't scoring 46.
In three of its past four SEC games, Tennessee has been held to 26 points or fewer. Top running back Tiyon Evans is likely to miss another game due to injury for the Vols. The Under is 5-1 in Vandy's past six and 7-3 in Tennessee's past 10 as a home favorite. The teams combined for 59 points last year. - Jordan
Ohio State vs. Michigan Over 64.5 (-110 via DraftKings)
If there is one college game to watch on Thanksgiving weekend, it has to be The Game. This one features two bitter rivals with playoff implications on the line. Whoever wins in Ann Arbor between Ohio State and Michigan will be heading to Indianapolis for the Big Ten title game.
This Michigan team is a real threat to win both the game and the conference. However, the Ohio State offense is filled with Day 1 NFL studs. C.J. Stroud is the only starter not ready to start in the NFL right now, and many feel he'd be the top quarterback in the 2022 NFL Draft if he were eligible. Michigan won't have to do much to help push this Over. - Lipka
Iowa vs. Nebraska Under 41 (-110 via DraftKings)
Nebraska quarterback Adrian Martinez has been ruled out for this game after injuring his shoulder in last week's loss to Wisconsin. Now the starting quarterback duties lie with either freshman Logan Smothers or Heinrich Haarberg.
Iowa ranks ninth in the country in scoring defense, allowing 16.9 points per game. The Hawkeyes will turn in a dominant defensive performance, while the Cornhuskers will merely be playing out the string as they enter the season finale on a five-game losing streak. - Spector
