On Saturday afternoon, the Philadelphia 76ers are on the road taking on the Phoenix Suns for a 3:00 PM ET tipoff. The Sixers (18-8) enter play as the top team in the Eastern Conference despite suffering a close 118-114 road loss to the Portland Trail Blazers. Their hosts from Phoenix (15-9) are owners of the Western Conference’s fourth-best record and are on a four-game winning streak, all of which have come at home. In fact, they’ve won five straight at home dating back to January 28th.
Let’s get into our Sixers-Suns betting preview, including odds, boosts, and picks.
Preview
The Sixers were on a two-game winning streak before running into the Damian Lillard led Portland Trail Blazers. The Sixers were tough down the stretch and could have won the game, but a Ben Simmons inbound pass was intercepted and Portland hung on to win the game.
New players at FOX Bet PA will score 5x their payout with a $10 bet on the Sixers to score at least once against the Suns on Saturday afternoon.

The Suns, meanwhile, are on a four-game winning streak at home and are coming off a 125-124 over Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Milwaukee Bucks. Giannis went off for 47 points in the game, but Phoenix’s backcourt duo of Devin Booker and Chris Paul combined for 58 points.
The Suns have won the last two meetings between these teams and will look to put some distance between themselves and the Portland Trail Blazers in the Western Conference standings.
Sixers vs. Suns Odds
Here’s the line for the Sixers and Suns at DraftKings Sportsbook:
-
- Spread: Sixers -1, Suns +1
- Moneyline: Sixers -114, Suns -106
- Total: 223
And here are the current best available odds for the Sixers (may not display on Google AMP pages):
Bets We Like With a Sixers Win
FiveThirtyEight gives the Sixers just a 42% chance of winning with a +2 point line. Philadelphia’s implied win probability based on the moneyline is 51%. The oddmakers clearly believe this game is a toss-up, while the projection model leans toward a close Phoenix win.
Sixers to Win and Over 223 Points (+250, DraftKings)
To be clear, this game is a real toss-up and we believe the Suns will pull this one out. However, if you’re looking for an increased multiplier on a Sixers win, take Philadelphia to win and over 223 total points.
The Sixers have seen the total go over 223 points in each of their last five games:
- 2/3/21 @ CHA (229 points)
- 2/4/21 v. POR (226 points)
- 2/6/21 v. BKN (232 points)
- 2/9/21 @ SAC (230 points)
- 2/11/21 @ POR (232 points)
Add that to the historical trend of the over hitting in eight of the last ten matchups between Philadelphia and Phoenix and it’s likely the trend will continue this afternoon in Phoenix.

Bets We Like With a Suns Win
Suns to Win, Suns to Cover +1 Point, Over 223 Points (+268, FanDuel)
The oddsmakers may favor the Sixers, but the projection model’s outcome is what we’re buying in this one. We’ve already outlined above all the reasons to believe the over will hit, so let’s get into why the Suns should win and cover the +1 point spread.
The Sixers own the Eastern Conference’s top record, but the Suns are undefeated in their last five games at home. They’ve also won seven of their last eight games overall. They also walked away with a victory in both games against the Sixers a season ago, first in a 114-109 win in Phoenix on November 4, 2019 followed by a 130-117 road win in Philadelphia on August 11, 2020.
The Suns have covered the spread in 15 of their past 18 games against teams with a winning record and since we believe they’ll win, adding them to cover the +1 point spread is a nice boost to the overall bet.

Devin Booker Over 24.5 Points (-117, DraftKings)
Devin Booker has the potential to take over a game from anywhere on the court. He’s averaging 33 points per game in over his last two games, both of which came at home against Eastern Conference teams.
A season ago, Booker torched the Sixers to the tune of 37.5 points per game in two matchups with the Sixers. He also pulled down 6.5 rebounds and dished out 5.0 assists per game in those contests. Two seasons ago, he dropped 37.0 points per game against Philadelphia, and has scored 32+ points in each of the Suns last six games against the Sixers. It’s safe to say he’s bound to put up a number of points in this one, easily eclipsing the 24.5 point mark.
Devin Booker Top Point Scorer of the Game (+300, FOX Bet)
If you’re looking for increased value on a big night from Devin Booker, head over to FOX Bet and take him to be the game’s top point scorer at +300 odds. Booker is just two games removed from his highest-scoring night of the season, a 36-point performance in a 119-113 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
His main competition for top scorer of the game is undoubtedly Sixers big man Joel Embiid, whose 29.4 points per game puts him in third place on the NBA’s scoring list. Although he didn’t play against Phoenix a season ago, Embiid averaged 37.5 points per game against the Suns in the 2018-19 season.
One has to assume the Suns will go out of their way to limit Embiid, while daring Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris to carry the scoring load. They’re capable of doing so, but likely not in the way they’d need to unseat Devin Booker as the game’s top scorer.
Sixers vs. Suns Prediction
Pick: This game has all the makings of a heavyweight battle with the Suns torching Philadelphia from deep, while the Sixers dominate the paint. Ultimately, we believe the Suns will prevail in a high-scoring affair. Take the Suns to Win, Suns to Cover +1 Point, and Over 223 Total Points. Also consider taking Devin Booker to score over 24.5 points, as well as the Sixers to score promo at FOX Bet.
