NFL Week 13 Weather Conditions (Fantasy Football)

It won’t be a warm welcome for Mac Jones and company in Buffalo for Monday Night Football. We might see some flurries in that game but 20+ mph sustained winds with frigid temperatures will test both teams. We might also see some sloppy conditions in Chicago with rain in the forecasts and a plethora of injuries forcing some to sit while others are limited. If you’re struggling to put together a lineup, it may it give you a small amount of comfort that your opponent is probably struggling too!

New York Giants at Miami Dolphins

1:00 PM ET // Hard Rock Stadium // Miami Gardens, Florida

Temp: 75°
Precipitation: Scattered Showers
Wind: 7 mph
Wind Gusts: 9 mph

Fantasy Impact: Rain isn’t necessarily anticipated, but there will be scattered showers in the area especially around kickoff. I’m not sure you’re too excited to play anyone from this game, but rain will all but ensure Saquon Barkley gets a heavy workload.

Philadelphia Eagles at New York Jets

1:00 PM ET // MetLife Stadium // East Rutherford, New Jersey

Temp: 48°
Precipitation: None
Wind: 5 mph
Wind Gusts: 7 mph

Fantasy Impact: None

Arizona Cardinals at Chicago Bears

1:00 PM ET // Soldier Field // Chicago, Illinois

Temp: 38°
Precipitation: Rain
Wind: 14 mph
Wind Gusts: 38 mph

Fantasy Impact: The rain should be light for the most part, but it’s going to make for a sloppy game. With Andy Dalton starting, we can expect Chicago to lean on the run game and probably take very few if any deep shots to Darnell Mooney. DeAndre Hopkins and Kyler Murray return on Arizona’s side, but how healthy they actually are is a question mark. I would expect Hopkins to get plenty of targets, but Murray has become significantly less valuable in fantasy whenever his mobility has been limited.

This game is shaping up to be a David Montgomery vs James Conner sloppy slugfest.

Los Angeles Chargers at Cincinnati Bengals

1:00 PM ET // Paul Brown Stadium // Cincinnati, Ohio

Temp: 43°
Precipitation: None
Wind: 8 mph
Wind Gusts: 15 mph

Fantasy Impact: None

Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers

1:00 PM ET //  Heinz Field //  Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Temp: 45°
Precipitation: None
Wind: 9 mph
Wind Gusts: 18 mph

Fantasy Impact: None

San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks

4:25 PM ET // Century Link Stadium // Seattle, Washington

Temp: 41°
Precipitation: None
Wind: 5 mph
Wind Gusts: 7 mph

Fantasy Impact: None

Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs

8:20 PM ET // GEHA Field At Arrowhead Stadium // Kansas City, Missouri

Temp: 46°
Precipitation: None
Wind: 12 mph
Wind Gusts: 33 mph

Fantasy Impact: None

MONDAY, DECEMBER 6th, 2021

New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills

1:00 PM ET // Highmark Stadium // Orchard Park, New York

Temp: 32°
Precipitation: Flurries
Wind: 26 mph
Wind Gusts: 39 mph

Fantasy Impact: We might see some flurries, but it’s the wind that will be an issue. Forecasts have a funny way of softening as game time approaches, but 20 mph sustained winds are pretty much a given for this game. Winds this high will make it extremely difficult for Josh Allen to throw deep. Without much of a consistent run game, we can expect Buffalo to sprinkle in plenty of designed runs for Allen saving his fantasy day. Stefon Diggs should still get his alpha-receiver targets, but the big plays that have made him a fantasy stud as of late may not be there. Dawson Knox and Cole Beasley may actually benefit in PPR leagues if the Bills fall behind and/or struggle to run.

We haven’t really seen Mac Jones in adverse weather conditions yet. Add to that a hostile crowd and one of the best pass defenses in the league and it might be a rough go for the rookie. We can expect New England to lean heavily on Damien Harris, Rhamondre Stevenson, and Brandon Bolden hoping to move the ball against a defense that competent run games have preyed on but it will be difficult to trust Stevenson or Bolden enough to have them in starting lineups. I would not be too enthusiastic to start any New England receiving options outside of Hunter Henry.

Ohh and the kickers. This is the week to sit Nick Folk (who is questionable to play anyways) and Tyler Bass.
