The 2021 MLB season kicked off more than two months ago now, and the action has been jam-packed. Why not celebrate the end of the weekend by going for a big payday on Sunday? That’s right, we’re back with another MLB mega parlay, this time a three-teamer with a payout north of 12/1, and we’re counting on the Red Sox to win big.
We’re going big and bold, so let’s not waste any more time. We’re diving in, but don’t forget to check out our picks for the side and total on every MLB game, with our team of experts in red-hot form.
Toronto Blue Jays -2.5 (+115)
Boston Red Sox -2.5 (+115)
Houston Astros -1.5 (+135)
Parlay odds: +1239
Let’s break down each of the three legs one by one.
Toronto Blue Jays -2.5 (+115)
It’s hard not to want to fade the Orioles right now. Baltimore has been an absolute disaster, losing nine of their last 10 games. They’re also just 8-31 over the past month and a half. The Blue Jays on the other hand continue to have one of the best offenses in the league, and they rank second in OPS. Accordingly, many of their wins are lopsided. In fact, their last three victories have come by a combined score of 35-13. Eight of their last nine wins have been by at least three runs, so laying -2.5 really isn’t much of a stretch here.
They’ll also have Hyun-Jin Ryu on the mound here vs. Matt Harvey for the Orioles. Even after a couple shaky starts recently Ryu still has an ERA of 3.43, and he’s one of the AL’s best starters. Harvey has been arguably the worst pitcher in the majors, with a 7.76 ERA in 14 starts. Not surprisingly Baltimore is 1-7 in his last eight outings, and six of those seven losses were by at least three runs.

Boston Red Sox -2.5 (+115)
Staying in the AL East with the Red Sox. Also on an alt run line. Boston also has a sky-high offensive ceiling, and they’ve scored at least seven runs in each of their past three wins. They hardly ever win pitcher’s duels. The Red Sox are 11-5 in their last 16, and just beat Kansas City 7-1 on Saturday. The Royals are in a big slump, going just 2-12 in their last 14 games.
Kansas City starter Mike Minor has a 4.63 ERA, so don’t expect him to bail them out here. Red Sox starter Nathan Eovaldi is coming off an outing where he threw 6 and 2/3 scoreless innings while only allowing three hits against a really tough Toronto lineup. This will be a much easier task for him against a Royals lineup that’s been struggling for weeks. The Red Sox should cruise here.

Houston Astros -1.5 (+135)
To wrap up this mega parlay and hopefully bring us home, we’ve got the Giants. San Francisco has been on a roll, winning five straight games. They’ve scored at least five runs in each of those games, and at least nine in three of their past four. That’s the kind of offensive upside we’re looking for when backing a team on the run line. Nobody expected anything from the Giants entering the season, and oddsmakers continue to give them no credit.
Despite the fact that they rank fifth in the league in OPS. It’s no longer a small sample size, and you can’t simply write off this 45-25 start as a fluke. Perhaps most importantly, the Giants are 23-9 at home. The Phillies, on the other hand, are a completely different team on the road, as they’re just 12-22 in games played away from home this season. Philly starter Aaron Nola has a 2.49 ERA at home, but that balloons to 4.99 on the highway.
