MLB Saturday three-team mega parlay (+1347 odds): Reds upset Brewers

The 2021 MLB season kicked off about three months ago, and the action has been jam-packed. As we approach the All-Star break, why not celebrate the end of the first half by going for a big payday on Saturday? That’s right; we’re back with another MLB mega parlay, this time a three-teamer with a payout north of 13/1, and we’re counting on the Reds to pull an upset.

I just cashed this MLB mega parlay last Wednesday at 12/1 odds; let’s do it again on Saturday!

We’re going big and bold, so let’s not waste any more time. We’re diving in, but don’t forget to check out our picks for the side and total on every MLB game, with our team of experts in red-hot form.

Chicago White Sox -1.5 (-135)

Cincinnati Reds -1.5 (+285)

San Diego Padres -1.5 (+120)

Parlay odds: +1347

Let’s break down each of the three legs one by one.

Chicago White Sox -1.5 (-135)

The White Sox trounced the Orioles on Friday, and I don’t see any reason to believe they won’t do it again on Saturday. We had Chicago as part of Friday’s mega parlay, and they came through with a 12-1 victory. It might not be that lopsided this time around, but it won’t be close. The White Sox have won three in a row by a combined score of 22-3.

They’ve got the third-best run differential in the league, and will get to face off against Thomas Eshelman here. In four 2021 starts, Eshelman has a 7.16 ERA. He hasn’t gone more than 4 and 2/3 innings in any of those outings, which means we’ll see a lot of this dreadful Orioles bullpen. Baltimore’s relievers have the fifth-highest ERA in the league.

Cincinnati Reds -1.5 (+285)

The Reds are quietly starting to turn it on again, and they’ve now won seven of their past nine. They shutout Milwaukee on Friday, and are being underestimated here. Sure Brewers starter Freddy Peralta has been great, but he pitched in the majors every year from 2018-20. He never had an ERA below 3.99, and it was 5.29 in his longest stint in 2019. It’s unlikely he keeps this up forever, and he’s really been struggling with his control recently.

In each of his last three starts, he’s walked at least four batters. Two of those starts came against the Pirates and Diamondbacks, two of the worst offenses in the league. This Reds lineup is a big step up. Cincinnati ranks eighth in MLB in OPS. Reds rookie Vladimir Gutierrez has had a few rough starts, but a handful of really good ones too.

San Diego Padres -1.5 (+120)

Getting plus-money on the run line with the Padres here is surprising. San Diego’s offense has been hot recently, scoring 41 runs in their past six games. The Rockies have been atrocious on the road this season, entering with a 7-34 record away from home. The Padres on the other hand have been much better at home, with a 33-17 mark at Petco Park. Joe Musgrove will start for San Diego, and he’s been a revelation this year.

He has a 2.97 ERA and 0.91 WHIP in 16 starts. He pitched against this Rockies lineup once this season at Petco back on May 19th, and he gave up zero runs and only two hits in seven innings while striking out 11. You’d think Rockies starter German Marquez would be better away from Coors Field, but he actually has a 4.67 ERA on the road this year.
