The 2021 MLB season kicked off about three months ago, and the action has been jam-packed. As we approach the All-Star break, why not celebrate the end of the first half by going for a big payday on Friday? That’s right; we’re back with another MLB mega parlay, this time a three-teamer with a payout north of 16/1, and we’re counting on the Marlins to pull an upset.
I just cashed this MLB mega parlay last Wednesday at 12/1 odds; let’s do it again on Friday!
We’re going big and bold, so let’s not waste any more time. We’re diving in, but don’t forget to check out our picks for the side and total on every MLB game, with our team of experts in red-hot form.
Chicago White Sox -2.5 (+165)
Miami Marlins ML (+115)
Colorado Rockies ML (+200)
Parlay odds: +1609
Let’s break down each of the three legs one by one.
Chicago White Sox -2.5 (+165)
The White Sox have the second-best run differential in the American League, so they make sense as a team to target on an alt run line. On the flip side the Orioles have the second-worst run differential in the majors, behind only lowly Arizona. Baltimore has been a doormat all season, and I don’t see that changing here. Certainly not with Jorge Lopez on the mound. Lopez has been nothing short of a trainwreck in 2021, entering with a 6.02 ERA in 17 starts.
In four of his last five outings, he’s given up at least four earned runs while pitching less than five innings. That’s about his baseline right now. It might not surprise you to learn the Orioles are 1-9 in his last 10 starts. Against a White Sox offense that has produced at least five runs in nine of their past 10, he should struggle once again.

Miami Marlins ML (+115)
The Marlins are coming off a series against the Dodgers that went about as well as they possibly could’ve hoped. Miami surprisingly took three of four from the defending World Series champs. The Marlins are 7-5 in their last 12 games, and have more offensive upside than you might realize. Five times since June 18th, they’ve scored at least nine runs. What really attracts me to the Marlins here is that Zach Thompson will take the hill.
The rookie has a 2.25 ERA through his first five big league starts. He’s already started twice against the Braves, and has given up only 10 baserunners and three runs across 11 innings. Braves starter Charlie Morton has been middling, and he’s given up seven earned runs over his past two outings. Atlanta has been a huge disappointment as a whole, and they just lost a series to the Pirates most recently where they scored only one run twice.

Colorado Rockies ML (+200)
To wrap this mega parlay up and hopefully bring us home, we’ve got the Rockies. Colorado has quietly been picking up some steam, and they’ve now gone 13-9 in their last 22. The Rockies are being undervalued for several reasons here, including that Kyle Freeland’s season-long numbers don’t tell the full story. His ERA looks bad, but he didn’t make a start until the very end of May.
He was understandably rusty initially after such a long absence, but he’s coming on strong now. Over his last three starts, he’s given up a total of one run. The Padres are 3-5 in their last eight, and with Blake Snell on the mound here aren’t anything to be scared of. Snell has a 4.99 ERA and has been struggling mightily with walks, leading to his 1.55 WHIP. Getting 2/1 here is too good to pass up.
