If Robert Lewandowski’s transfer from Bayern Munich does happen, he’d be turning his back on the second biggest club in the world.
It’s been reported the striker wants to LEAVE the German giants and seek a new challenge with another top European club.
He’s already at one in Bayern, who have won the Bundesliga for eight straight seasons and won the Champions League a year ago.
But according to stats website FiveThirtyEight, they are the second biggest club in the world, with plenty of Premier League representation in the rankings.
However, Champions League winners Chelsea are fifth, behind Liverpool, with eighth place Manchester United joining rivals City in the top ten.
Barcelona and Real Madrid, who are third and sixth respectively, while Paris Saint-Germain are seventh, while Ajax (ninth) and Atletico Madrid (tenth) make up the rest.
There’s no room for Juventus in the list and you have to go down to fourteenth to find the fallen Serie A champions – maybe that’s why Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly wants out?
Further down the table you have two more Premier League clubs with Arsenal and Tottenham in 17th and 18th respectively.
The White Hart Lane faithful may be surprised to see their north London rivals above them considering the differing starts to the season.

So how is it all worked out? The ratings serve as a best estimate of a team’s overall strength.
Every team has an attacking rating that represents the number of goals it would be expected to score against an average team on a neutral field.
They also have a defensive rating that represents the number of goals it would be expected to concede. These ratings produce an overall Soccer Power Index score.
Manchester City have naturally been linked with Lewandowski as they seek a replacement for Sergio Aguero.
Harry Kane is thought to be their top target and news of Lewandowski’s desire could throw a spanner in the works of that big money move.
“I think he’s the best striker in the world,” former Premier League marksman Dean Ashton told talkSPORT.
“In terms of a no.9 and the role he plays, I don’t think there’s anyone better than him and I include Kane, Haaland and Romelu Lukaku in that.”
