Some news on the Ben Simmons trade front:
Because the contract is for a total of four seasons (the current contract and extension), Brogdon is not allowed to be traded this season. https://t.co/8LF6GoFIUP

Brogdon had been rumored in some of those early Ben Simmons trade reports. I was told the first one was bullshit, but didn’t hear anything definitive RE: the second one. That was the Brogdon + Caris LeVert + a pick deal for Simmons, which I would have done in a minute. That was the best return in the rumored stuff floating around on the internet.
Seems like the Sixers are content to wait, which is fine. Damien Lillard is not available right now, but he might be later. Midseason trades typically work out fine. Look at Jimmy Butler a few years back. Tobias Harris. P.J. Tucker helping the Bucks last year. James Harden, etc.
