Friday NHL four-team mega parlay (+1201 odds): Oilers go for three straight against Sens

Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl celebrates a goal

We’ve got five games on deck for Friday in the NHL, and we’ve got a four-leg parlay at a 12/1 payout to go with it. We hit our NHL mega parlay last night so let’s keep it rolling and make it two in a row.

Before I reveal this mega parlay, don’t forget to check out our picks for the side and total on every NHL game first. We’ve been on a roll this hockey season, and our experts are on fire right now. Don’t miss out on their picks for all five of today’s games.

Here’s our four-team parlay for Friday:

Vegas Golden Knights ML (-115)

Minnesota Wild -1.5 (+145)

Edmonton Oilers -1.5 (-105)

Colorado Avalanche ML (-220)

Parlay odds: +1201

For this play, we have two favorites on the money line and two on the puck line. Let’s break each of them down.

Vegas Golden Knights ML (-115)

The Vegas Golden Knights will travel to St. Louis to take on the Blues with each team looking to snap their two-game losing streak. Historically the Blues have owned the reputation of having one of the best defensive teams in the West, but they are far from that identity right now, while Vegas has swooped in to take their place. Vegas is allowing the third least number of goals per game at 2.17, while the Blues rank 18th in this category allowing 3.08 goals. The Knights also have the superior penalty kill which has been successful 86.9% of the time compared to the Blues who have killed off just 73.6 percent of their opportunities shorthanded. Another significant challenge for the Blues is the injury to towering defenseman Colton Parayko who hasn’t played in nearly a month due to a back injury. The Blues have not been good on home ice this year winning just four of their twelve games at the Enterprise Center.

Sep 10, 2020; Edmonton, Alberta, CAN; Vegas Golden Knights right wing Mark Stone (61) screens Dallas Stars goaltender Anton Khudobin (35) during the second period in game three of the Western Conference Final of the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs at Rogers Place.

Minnesota Wild -1.5 (+145)

Finally, the Minnesota Wild are a team that looks ready to take the next step and become a contender in the NHL. A 7-2-1 record in their last 10 games that includes wins in three of their last four games is encouraging. Rookie sensation Kirill Kaprizov leads the tea Wild with 20 points and has three in his last four games. Mats Zuccarello has come off of injury and joined Kaprizov on the top line, which has sparked this team and provided depth throughout their top six. Zuccarello has three points in his last four games and has admitted he is starting to find his game after a lengthy injury. Arizona depends on two guys to do the majority of scoring and if they can’t find the back of the net they are in trouble. Leading point scorer Conor Garland has one goal in his last nine games, while perennial all-star Phil Kessel has not scored in his last six games.

Edmonton Oilers -1.5 (-105)

The Edmonton Oilers absolutely dominated the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday night. Edmonton won 7-1 while getting some help from Leon Draisaitl, who recorded his fourth career hat-trick to go along with two assists. At one point the Oilers had six goals and the Senators only had five shots. Ottawa has a terrible away record of 4-13-0 with no signs of turning it around. Unbelievably, the Senators have a minus-40 goal differential on the road and an even goal differential while playing at home. Their goaltending and special teams on the road have been a joke. They are posting a .856 SVP, their penalty kill is only successful 66 percent of the time, and offensively their powerplay is only working at 9.1 percent. In six games against the Senators this year, Draisaitl and Connor McDavid have combined for 28 points. The Oilers are 7-3-0 in their last 10 games while posting an impressive .923 SVP.

Be sure to also check out our full-game preview for Ottawa Senators vs. Edmonton Oilers.

Colorado Avalanche ML (-220)

The Colorado Avalanche were able to get back in the win column on Wednesday night with a win over the Arizona Coyotes. Colorado outshot the Coyotes 46-14 and looked much improved with Nathan MacKinnon returning to the ice after sitting out the last three games due to injury. MacKinnon produced 10 shots and Colorado outshot Arizona 20-2 when he was on the ice at even strength. Wednesday night’s game was the 14th straight in which the Avalanche have held their opponent under 30 shots. The Kings have struggled of late, losing five out of their last seven games. They will be without both of their usual goaltenders of Jonathan Quick and Cal Petersen against Colorado. This means that 31-year-old Troy Grosenick will likely being in the crease for the Kings after getting a win on Wednesday night in his first NHL appearance since 2014. Look for the Avalanche offense to take advantage of a backup goaltender and escape with two points in this one.
