We had another winning day on the college hoops hardwood, as we went 5-3 in our picks, and we nailed our money line magic parlay for an attractive 1.67 unit to 1 payout. It wasn’t a home run by any means, but with plays on Oral Roberts, NC State, and Lafayette, we cashed a 3-teamer to scoop up some cash. For today’s parlay of the day picks, we find a nice mix of small conference action with games from the Big South and the Southland, as well as a look at the big boys with a breakdown of games in the Big 12 ACC, and PAC-12 that have heavy NCAA tournament implications. Let’s get started by taking a trip to the A-10, where the Bonnies of St. Bonaventure will look to stay hot against Dayton.
Point Spread Parlay
Not all parlays are the same. In this first section, we are going to focus on point spread parlays. A point spread parlay is a parlay bet where all of the games bet are point spreads, and you will have to lay a little juice on each bet. A standard 3-team point spread parlay will payout 6-1, a 4-teamer pays out 11-1, and a 10-teamer pays out a whopping 720-1! As you can see, the payouts can get really big, really fast, on point spread parlays!
Dayton Flyers at St. Bonaventure Bonnies (-7.5)
The only thing stopping the Saint Bonaventure Bonnies from dancing right now is their lack of playing time. The Bonnies lost a big chunk of their season to Corona Virus delays, and as they play tonight in their final regular season game, it will be just their 17th game of the season. The Bonnies are ranked 31st on Kenpom, suggesting that they are going to be in the at-large bid conversation, but the Bonnies know they have to win tonight against Dayton and likely do some damage in the A-10 conference tournament as well, if they want a real shot at hearing their names called on Selection Sunday.
The Bonnies are undefeated at home this year, including signature wins over Davidson and VCU. The Flyers, on the other hand, are just 2-5 in true road games, including a couple of really ugly losses. Dayton lost at St. Joes in their last game to the 192nd ranked Eagles. They also lost at Duquesne and Rhode Island, two teams that won’t sniff an at-large bid into the NCAA tournament.

All of those bad road losses have come in the last month as the Flyers are stumbling to the finish of the regular season. The Bonnies know they need style points right now, and they have run up the score at home all season long, winning all but one of their home games by double digits this year. Expect more of the same tonight as St. Bonaventure wins and covers against a struggling Dayton team.
Hampton Pirates at Radford Highlanders (-7)
Radford was crushing souls at home this season until they slipped up down the stretch and lost a pair of back-to-backs to Gardner-Webb and Winthrop. Those losses cost the Highlanders a shot at the Big South regular season title, as they finished 2nd to Winthrop. Now that the Highlanders are playing in the Big South Conference tournament, they know they have to run the table to get their revenge on Winthrop and punch their dance card into the NCAA tournament. Radford hosts Hampton tonight in the second-round game, and this game is a repeat of two games from earlier this season.

Hampton played at Radford in early January, and neither game was overly competitive, as the Highlanders won both games comfortably by double digits. It’s hard to expect the Pirates to be much better tonight on the road, as they haven’t had a lot of success on opposing team’s floors this season. Kenpom has the Highlanders winning this one by eight, and the previous two games between these teams were decided by thirteen and eleven points, respectively. That makes the seven points we have to lay on Radford seem like a bargain, so that is the play we will make in this one.
Longwood Lancers at UNC Ashville Bulldogs (-3)
In other Big South tournament action, the Bulldogs of UNC Ashville host the Lancers of Longwood. The Lancers have some decent momentum as they hit the tournament, having won eight out of their final ten regular season games. Much of that success came against the bottom of the league, though, with wins over sub-top-300 teams like Hampton, Charleston Southern, and Presbyterian. On the road this season, the Lancers are just 3-10, with their all three wins coming over teams ranked 327th or worse.

UNC Ashville hasn’t quite been able to hang at the top of the Big South this season, finishing in 4th place. But they did pick up a huge upset victory over Winthrop in their final regular season game and have wins over Radford and Gardner-Webb as well, so the Bulldogs are hitting the conference tournament with upset on their mind.
These teams played twice this year, with Longwood hosting both games and they split the series. Now that the series has shifted to Ashville, it feels like the Bulldogs are going to win this one fairly easily. Having to only lay one possession worth of points is reasonable, and I am backing the home team tonight.

Money Line Magic
This next type of parlay we are going to look at is an all money line parlay. With these types of bets, you don’t care about points spreads, it is just who wins or loses the games that matter. Want to load up on a bunch of favorites and get paid when they all win? Do you smell a couple of big upsets? Parlay those together on a money line parlay, and you can get paid big!
Arizona Wildcats at Oregon Ducks (-200)
When the Oregon Ducks returned from a COVID-19 pause earlier this season, they looked rusty. After the delay, the Ducks returned to lose back-to-back games to Oregon State and Washington State, with both losses coming at home. But since then, Oregon has figured things out, and they are making a run towards the PAC-12 regular season title, as well as making a compelling case for an at-large bid. The Ducks have won seven out of their last eight games, with their only loss coming on the road at USC.

One of those recent wins came at Arizona, as the Ducks beat the Wildcats on their own floor, sneaking out of Tucson with a two-point victory. Oregon is tied with first place UCLA in the loss column, and they know they have to win tonight if they want a shot at catching the Bruins.
For Arizona, the Wildcats are squarely on the bubble right now and are winners of three straight. But I’ll be honest here, I am not overly impressed with the Wildcat’s resume, as fifteen of their seventeen wins have come against teams ranked 98th or worse on Kenpom. They have one nice win at USC and one at home against Colorado in December, that’s it. The Ducks are five-point favorites, which does worry me a little bit as this game is going to be competitive, so instead of laying points, I’ll lay the money line odds instead and back the Ducks to win outright in a close one.
UMASS Minutemen at Saint Louis Billikens (-650)
The Saint Louis Billikens are in the same boat as St. Bonaventure, as they just haven’t been on the court enough to make a case for an at-large bid, but when they have gotten to play, they have posted solid results. Saint Louis is 12-5 with quality wins over top-100 teams LSU, Richmond, NC State, Rhode Island, and St. Bonaventure. In their last game, the Billikens picked up a win that they had to have, over a streaking Richmond team at home, and I think that is what happens again tonight against UMASS in another must-win.

UMASS hasn’t played a lot either, but they have still found the time to add some nasty losses to their resume. The Minutemen have losses to Northeastern, Bryant, and George Mason, and their biggest win of the season came 93rd ranked Rhode Island. I don’t think UMASS is capable of a win over a top-50 team like Saint Louis, so I will pick a little low hanging fruit here and snatch up some free cash on the Billikens on senior night.
North Carolina Tar Heels (-129) at Syracuse Orange
There has been a lot of unjustified hate on the North Carolina Tar Heels this season. Yeah, last year they were a disaster, and the ACC isn’t as good this year as it usual is, but at the end of the day, this is a quality basketball team. The Heels are 9-5 in ACC play, and they own wins over Stanford, Kentucky, Notre Dame, Syracuse, NC State, Pittsburgh, Duke, and Louisville, and they knocked off a very good Florida State team in their last game. All of those people out there saying that the Tar Heels aren’t a tournament-level team need to go get their eyes checked, as this team is good.

— Carolina Basketball (@UNC_Basketball) March 1, 2021
I am not so sure you can say the same thing about Syracuse. The Orange are strong at home, but they just haven’t been consistent enough to string together wins. They have lost their last two games, both coming to fellow bubble teams in Duke and Georgia Tech, and I think Jim Boeheim’s team will need to win the ACC tournament to go dancing.
Syracuse is 11-1 at home this season, which is mighty impressive on the surface, but deeper investigation shows me lots of wins over teams like Bryant, Niagara, and Rider. The Orange only have one win this season over a team that is likely to be playing in the NCAA tournament, and despite their home court success, I don’t think they can beat a team as talented as this North Carolina squad.
Gardner-Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs at Campbell Camels (-105)
For our final money line magic pick, I will head back to the Big South Conference tournament for the game between Campbell and Gardner-Webb. Campbell has caught fire here late in the season as they reeled off seven straight wins to close out the regular season. The Camels host Gardner-Webb tonight and will look forward to playing the Runnin’ Bulldogs on their floor, as both games of their regular season series were played at Gardner-Webb. Campbell is 8-3 at home this season, with two of those three losses coming against Radford, one of which came in triple overtime.

Gardner-Webb has been great at home, but they haven’t been very good on the road this season. They did somehow manage to find a win to win their last three road games, including two against Radford, but before that nice run at the end of the year, the Runnin’ Bulldogs were just 1-10 in true road games. Home dogs in conference play are some of my favorite plays to make in college hoops, and after seeing Campbell split the series on the road, I expect them to win tonight now that they get to play host. It’s going to come down to the wire, but I see Campbell winning and advancing.

Oklahoma Sooners at Oklahoma State Cowboys (+104)
I will tell you what, nobody wants to play the Oklahoma State Cowboys right now! OK State is on a tear, as they have won four straight games and nine out of twelve, with wins over a who’s who of the Big 12. The Cowboys have wins over Kansas, Texas, Arkansas, Texas Tech, and they won their last game, in Norman, against these very same Oklahoma Sooners. No disrespect to the Sooners, but the fact that they are favored in this game is a joke. Cade Cunningham just whacked the Sooners for a career high forty-points, and Oklahoma fans must be shaking in their boots at what the freshman phenom is going to do to them tonight.

OU lost the game before that one as well, with a terrible loss to a bad Kansas State team. Oklahoma has played good basketball this season, but when they have struggled, it has almost always been away from home. Besides the Sooners recent home loss to OK State, Oklahoma has seen five of their six losses come on the road. Oklahoma State is playing their best basketball of the year right now, and I expect them to stay hot and beat the Sooners in Stillwater.
New Orleans Privateers at Incarnate Word Cardinals (+130)
Our final bet of the day comes to us from the Southland Conference where New Orleans plays at Incarnate Word. Both of these teams are bad, as both are ranked outside of the top-300, but that doesn’t mean we can’t find value here! I will sum this one up fairly quickly for you. New Orleans is 1-10 on the road this season. Their only road win of the year came at Texas A&M Corpus Christi to the 343rd ranked Islanders. That just isn’t a team that should be road favorites, no matter who they are playing.

Incarnate Word stinks too, but with all things being fairly equal, I am always going to back the home team, and being able to fade a team as bad as New Orleans as a road favorite is too juicy of a proposition to pass up on. It might make your eyes bleed having to watch this ugly game, but at least you can make a little money on it while you are at it!
