Antonio Conte’s mad moments include squaring off against Jose Mourinho, eating a journalists cake and ‘boxing’ Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez

Antonio Conte’s history in football management doesn’t just come down to results on the pitch but to his unique relationship with his players, coaches, fans and journalists.

The Italian coach has come back to the Premier League for a second spell but this time with Tottenham Hotspur.

Given Spurs’ track record of trophy success, it is no surprise to see Conte be appointed as the club attempts to end that long drought.

Having achieved a lot of success with Chelsea, Inter Milan and Juventus, trophies may finally be on their way to north London.

With that being said, the club, its players and fans may get more than what they bargained for with his track record of bizarre moments.

Who knows how long Conte will be at Spurs or what he will achieve. It won’t be a quiet regime though

Eating cake in a press conference

Following an impressive 3-0 win against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium in January 2017, Conte duly took part in the traditional post match press conference.

Prior to the questioning though, the Italian was feeling quite peckish and when he spotted a piece of cake, he could not help himself but to ask for a bite.

“It’s good, the cake? The cake is good? Yeah? I’m jealous about this,” Conte opened with.

“If you offer me a bit, I taste. Yeah, a little bit. Is possible, yeah? Because I didn’t eat. Thank you.

“Thank you very much. That’s good. I didn’t eat. I am hungry.”

‘Boxing’ Inter striker Lautaro Martinez

Forget about Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder or Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk, the real boxing everyone wanted to see was Conte vs Martinez.

In a highly anticipated bout, the duo jokingly fought in a made up ring on the training pitch.

Romelu Lukaku pretended to be renowned ring announcer Michael Buffer and called the contestants in before they squared off.

Wild goal celebrations

One of the many reasons why fans love Conte so much are because of his wild celebrations.

When the ball hits the back of the net, very rarely will you see the Italian coach react calmly.

From celebrating with the crowd, to jumping around with his coaching staff, no celebration is off limits for Conte.

Antics against Jose Mourinho and Manchester United

There certainly is no love lost between these two.

From poking fun at each other to facing off on the touchline, its safe to say that Mourinho and Conte won’t be sharing a bottle of wine anytime soon.

The feud initially started by the Portuguese manager making fun of Conte’s hair transplant, referencing him to a ‘clown’ because of his goal celebrations and talking about the period when the Italian was banned for ten months for failing to report alleged match fixing.

The former Juve and Inter manager however came back with comments of his own.

He told Mourinho that he was a ‘little man’ and also said that he should concentrate on his own club (Manchester United at the time) as he spent too much time thinking about Chelsea.
