First, check to see if Jamison Crowder or Corey Davis are available on waivers. Of the two, I prefer Crowder who is QB Sam Darnold‘s go-to and hauled in two touchdowns in the Jets’ loss to the Raiders last week. If those two players aren’t available, there are still some great options you can target.

It appears the Colts’ WR T.Y. Hilton is starting to get back to his old self, showing his performance against the Titans in Week 12 was not a fluke. He has scored a touchdown in back-to-back games and saw 11 targets and over 100 yards last week against Houston. His playoff schedule continues to look great, this week facing the Raiders who are sixth-worst against wide receivers. He is under 50% rostered in ESPN and Yahoo leagues due to his poor showing until Week 12.

Allen Lazard is another receiver you should target and is only 30% rostered in ESPN and 40% in Yahoo leagues. Davante Adams is the shiny WR1 for the Packers, but Lazard has seen a healthy share of targets even with Adams healthy and on the field. This week, Green Bay will take on the porous Detroit Lions defense who is the tenth-worst against wide receivers and have allowed over 2,300 yards and ten touchdowns to the position as well as 23 touches in the red zone.

It’s official. Without John Brown, Cole Beasley is the receiver to benefit the most in the Bills offense. He had a monster game last week against the 49ers with nine receptions on 11 targets for over 100 yards and a touchdown. This is his second game nearly reaching 30 points in PPR scoring in the last three weeks. The Bills will face the Steelers who are coming off of a tough loss against Washington. Despite their stout defense on paper, the Steelers are dealing with some injuries on their defense and have allowed nearly 550 yards and three touchdowns to WRs in the last four weeks.

If you are in deeper leagues and these players are not an option, you can consider Tim Patrick, Gabriel Davis, or Breshad Perriman. Patrick somehow finds a way to get it done for the Broncos. Davis is another player who gets the job done with Bills when Stefon Diggs and Beasley are preoccupied. Perriman will be the downfield threat and a fingers-crossed add who has a high ceiling, but a low floor.

RBs

Probably Rostered (but worth checking)

Latavius Murray, Saints (Rostered: ESPN 54% / Yahoo 73%)
Fantasy Playoffs: @PHI, KC, MIN
Week 13 @ATL — 5/17/0 — 2 targets for 2/0/0

James White, Patriots (Rostered: ESPN 56% / Yahoo 68%)
Fantasy Playoffs: @LAR, @MIA, BUF
Week 13 @LAC — zero carries, 4 targets for 3/1/0

Main Waiver Wire Pickups

Cam Akers, Rams (Rostered: ESPN 36% / Yahoo 53%)
Fantasy Playoffs: NE, NYJ, @SEA
Week 13 @ARI — 21/72/1 — 1 target for 1/22/0

J.D McKissic, Washington (ESPN 60%/ Yahoo 48%)
Fantasy Playoffs: @SF, SEA, CAR
Week 13 @PIT — 5/8/0 — 10 targets for 10/70/0

Ty Johnson, Jets (Rostered: ESPN 0% / Yahoo 2%)
Fantasy Playoffs: @SEA, @LAR, CLE
Week 13 vs LV — 22/104/1 — 2 targets for 2/13/0

Jamaal Williams, Packers (Rostered: ESPN 47% / Yahoo 62%)
Fantasy Playoffs: @DET, CAR, TEN
Week 13 vs PHI — 5/26/0 — 2 targets for 2/10/0

Zack Moss, Bills (Rostered: ESPN 45% / Yahoo 58%)
Fantasy Playoffs: PIT, @DEN, @NE
Week 14 @SF — 3/9/0 — 1 target 1/5/0

Adrian Peterson, Lions (Rostered: ESPN 36% / Yahoo 48%)
Fantasy Playoffs: GB, @TEN, TB
Week 13 @CHI — 16/57/2

Ito Smith, Falcons (Rostered: ESPN 2% / Yahoo 5%)
Fantasy Playoffs: @LAC, TB, @KC
8/36/0 — 2 targets for 1/-2/0

Because it’s 2020 and it’s the fantasy playoffs, that means that two high-powered running backs have to get hurt. It’s just inevitable at this point. Raiders RB Josh Jacobs is expected to miss this week and Washington’s Antonio Gibson is dealing with a toe injury. There is no way around it. This stinks.

If you are in PPR scoring leagues, I would look for J.D. McKissic with Gibson out with a toe injury. He caught all ten of his targets for 70 yards and that is either a point or a half of a point each time. The ceiling isn’t very high, especially against the 49ers in Week 14, but at least you know he won’t give you a goose egg.

If you have room to be on the safe side, you may consider adding Adrian Peterson if the Lions D’Andre Swift misses more time due to an illness and recovery from his “brain injury”. Peterson capitalized on Swift’s absence and added another two touchdowns on 16 attempts and 57 yards last week.

Jets RB Ty Johnson is not rostered in ESPN leagues and only 2% rostered in Yahoo. He shined in veteran RB Frank Gore‘s absence and rushed 22 times for 104 yards and a touchdown last week against the Raiders.

TEs

Main Waiver Wire Pickups

Logan Thomas, Washington (Rostered: ESPN 25% / Yahoo 40%)
Fantasy Playoffs: @SF, SEA, CAR
Week 13 @PIT — 9 targets for 9/98/1

Cole Kmet, Bears (Rostered: ESPN 1% / Yahoo 1%)
Fantasy Playoffs: HOU, @MIN, @JAX
Week 13 vs DET — 7 targets for 5/37/1

Jordan Reed, 49ers (Rostered: ESPN 15% / Yahoo 26%)
Fantasy Playoffs: WSH, @DAL, @ARI
Week 13 vs BUF — 4 targets for 3/32/1

Dalton Schultz, Cowboys (Rostered: ESPN 30% / Yahoo 20%)
Fantasy Playoffs: @CIN, SF, PHI
Week 13 – Plays on Tuesday Night Football

Anthony Firkser, Titans (Rostered: ESPN 5% / Yahoo 9%)
Fantasy Playoffs: @JAX, DET, @GB
Week 13 vs CLE — 7 targets for 5/51/0

Trey Burton, Colts (Rostered: ESPN 12% / Yahoo 49%)
Fantasy Playoffs: @LV, HOU, @PIT
Week @HOU — 3 targets for 1/11/0

Jordan Akins, Texans (Rostered: ESPN 4% / Yahoo 6%)
Fantasy Playoffs: @CHI, @IND, CIN
Week 13 vs IND — 3 targets for 2/10/0

All right, so the tight end options are… let’s call them “interesting”. I have been saying to get Logan Thomas on your rosters for weeks now, so first and foremost, go get him if he is available.

If not, your best option for a decent-ish floor would be Dalton Schultz. I don’t love it, but as usual, the tight end landscape is a wasteland. Trey Burton is another option if you are desperate.

Andy firmly believes in Houston’s Jordan Akins, particularly in this matchup against the Bears. They are fourth-worst against tight ends and have allowed three touchdowns in the last four weeks and nine touchdowns on the year to the position. Fair warning… he is very risky. Where he has the opportunity to get you a touchdown this week, he may also give you a goose egg.

Make sure you listen to the Week 14 Waivers episode for DST and QB streaming options for Week 14.

Good luck in the first round of the playoffs!
