Ciryl Gane is one of the UFC's brightest heavyweight prospects, his small 6-0 professional MMA record may seem like that of an inexperienced fighter, but Gane has been competing in Muay Thai for most of his life. His first actual test will take place this weekend versus Junior Dos Santos, and the Frenchman will be looking to make his presence known in a continually evolving division.

UFC legend and former champion Junior Dos Santos is attempting to break his three-fight losing streak, but it seems like the UFC matchmakers are making it extremely difficult for the slick boxer to do so. Three knockouts consecutively for JDS is a considerable concern, and his only advantage would be the MMA experience he holds over Gane.

UFC Parlay Pick

It is challenging to give JDS the benefit of the doubt at this point. His era of competition is slowly passing by, and as the new up and coming heavyweights let their fists fly, we're going to see more fighters like JDS depart from the company.

Ciryl Gane will enter the matchup with a tremendous speed advantage, alongside a massive frame and quick footwork. I can see this being a long night for the former champion.

The available UFC odds with Sportsbook Review are quite steep, and I'd price Gane around the -280 mark (70%). With that said he'll be a perfect addition to this week's Punching Parlay.

The Fight

An eight-fight win streak, knockout power and BJJ black belt are all on display when Billy Quarantillo steps into the octagon. The younger, larger, and more aggressive fighter in Quarantillo provides output from start to finish and has the ideal defense to deal with Tucker's dangerous ground game.

Gavin Tucker has a strong wrestling base, a BJJ black belt and some impressive striking output – mainly his leg kicks. No slouch and just one loss, Tucker will make the fight interesting for sure.

UFC Fight Prediction

Billy Quarantillo impressed me when fighting Spike Carlyle, who offers similar wrestling offence to Gavin Tucker, along with a similar brawling punch-style. Billy was able to handle the pressure and prove he can fight the distance and not rely on finishing his opponents.

In a fight where particular styles are quite close, the apparent advantages in youth, cardio, and activeness all favor Quarantillo. The odds agree that Quarantillo should be favored, and interestingly Quarantillo has made a meal of Canadian fighters (3-0) during his career.
