Tottenham could finally land Inter defender Milan Skriniar as Inter need money in the January transfer window.
Jose Mourinho is said to be still keen on strengthening his defensive options when the window re-opens next month, having been linked with several centre-backs in the summer.
Skriniar was one of them, and Fabrizio Romano claims the Premier League club could have a second bite of the cherry with Inter keen to sell.
The online transfer guru believes Inter are willing to offload one of their best top players immediately for the right offer.
The 25-year-old Slovakia international is in his fourth season at the San Siro, and has impressed with 130 appearances.
He is seen by Tottenham as a top replacement for Jan Vertonghen, who said goodbye to Spurs in the summer after eight seasons in north London and joined Benfica on a free transfer.
Mourinho eventually signed Wales international Joe Rodon instead, landing the 23-year-old on deadline day for £15m, but he has made just four Premier League appearances since his arrival.
And it is claimed Spurs could look to sign Skriniar anyway, with doubts over the futures of Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez.
Romano told the Here We Go Podcast: “Milan Skriniar’s situation hasn’t changed.
“Inter Milan needs money. If Spurs arrive tomorrow morning with £45m, Inter will sell him.
“[The deal for Skiniar] is up to Tottenham now.”
