Fantasy Football Start ’em Sit ’em Week 13
As we collectively approach the end of the most unpredictable and tumultuous fantasy football season in history, let’s take a moment to reflect on the wild journey it has been. Games had to be moved around, bye weeks added, and for the first time ever a team had to start a wide receiver from the practice squad against one of the best defenses in the league (it did not end well).
Yes, this all happened in 2020 and it may never happen again. Whether you are one of the teams that couldn’t overcome the rash of injuries to star players or one of the teams who somehow picked all the right studs this year, the only thing that is certain is there will only be one team standing at the end of the day, and hopefully that team is you.
In my experience, the hottest team with the most momentum heading into the playoffs usually ends up holding the trophy. If you feel like you are that team this year then there is only one thing left to do. Run, don’t jog, to the finish line and defeat every team standing in your way. You are the chosen one so go fulfill your destiny. See you in the winner’s circle!
Justin Jefferson – Vikings WR
Jefferson has stepped into the big shoes of the one and only Stephon Diggs as a rookie for the Vikings and has not disappointed. The first round pick out of LSU has quickly blossomed into a dynamic playmaker who is averaging 17 yards per catch for his 3rd straight game.
In Week 13 he gets a tantalizing matchup with a Jaguars defense that is allowing the 8th-most fantasy points to wide receivers and are known to give up big plays down the field. Jefferson is one of the best deep ball receivers in the game and can sometimes look like a young Randy Moss when he uses his height and athleticism to high-point the ball over smaller defends. If star wideout Adam Thielen sits out another week, Jefferson could explode with another 100 yard game with multiple trips to the endzone.
Justin Jefferson Week 13 Projections: 15 targets, 89 rushing yards, 10 receptions, 124 receiving yards, 2 receiving TD’s

Week 13 Sit ’em
Wayne Gallman – Giants RB
Gallman has been one of the lone bright spots for the Giants offense this season after losing Saquon Barkley for the year. The under the radar running back has been a model of consistency after taking the starting role, scoring 6 TD’s in his last 5 games.
The Cinderella story could be coming to an untimely end in Week 13, with starting QB Danny Jones likely to miss the game after injuring his hamstring against the Bengals. In his place will be journeyman QB Colt McCoy will likely struggle against a Seahawks defense that is stout against the run. Pete Carroll will force McCoy to beat them with his arm, which will lead to stacked boxes and a disappointing statline for Gallman owners.
Wayne Gallman Week 13 Projections: 16 rushing attempts targets, 53 rushing yards, 1 reception, 6 receiving yards, 0 TD’s
