Sunday Night Football Week 14 Matchup – Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Buffalo Bills

December 13, 2020, 8:20 pm EDT, Bills Stadium, Orchard Park, New York.

We’ve got a great matchup between two of the AFC’s best teams here on Sunday Night Football as the Buffalo Bills host the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh was undefeated until they got upset by Washington last week, while Buffalo is 9-3 following a big win over the 49ers. The Steelers are dealing with some injuries and desperately need a win here to avoid falling behind the Chiefs for the one and only bye in the conference.

Buffalo on the other one also needs this one to hold off the Dolphins for the AFC East crown. Josh Allen has silenced most of his critics this season, but can he keep it going here against an elite Pittsburgh offense? I can’t wait to see how it plays out.

Sunday Night Football Betting Odds & Lines Preview

Despite the Steelers only having one loss, oddsmakers have them as the underdog here. There hasn’t been too much movement with this line, as it opened with Buffalo favored by around 2.5 and currently sits at two. The lookahead line last week had this game as Steelers -2.5, so there was a pretty significant shift after their loss to Washington. I’ll be interested to see where this line goes in the hours leading up to the game, and it wouldn’t shock me if there’s a move toward Pittsburgh as oddsmakers adjust back toward the middle.

The total also hasn’t moved much yet. It opened around 47.5 and currently sits at 48 at most shops. The Steelers obviously have had the league’s best defense this season, but the Bills have been playing in a bunch of shootouts. It’ll be fascinating to see whose style of play wins out here. Ben Roethlisberger wasn’t his sharpest last week, but he could be in for a bounce back against a Buffalo defense that has declined from last year.
