With Covid running rampant around the country, it seems that no team has been able to avoid it this week, with news seemingly reporting by the hour more players testing positive in facilities across the country. It means there are very few props being put up at the moment, so we’ll do what we can for this weekend. Hopefully, it’s not a sign of things to come.
Tennessee Titans vs. Indianapolis Colts
Sunday, November 29, 2020 – 1:00 PM ET at Lucas Oil Stadium
These two played each other a couple of weeks back with the Colts running out easy winners on Thursday night football in a 34-17 win in Tennessee. They face off again in Indy this time with the Colts installed at around a field goal favorite by the best sportsbooks. A win for the Colts will practically guarantee them the division, while the Titans need to square the series to keep it interesting.
The running back room in Indy has been a tough one to call this season with Jonathan Taylor, Nyheim Hines and Jordan Wilkins sharing the workload on any given week. Last week was a Taylor week with him receiving 26 touches in their comeback win to the Packers. I thought it would have been him this week, but he’s been ruled out with Covid meaning that it may well be Nyheim Hines again.
Hines was the man in that Thursday night game with 17 touches for 115 yards and 2 TDs on the ground and through the air to take him to 6 total TDs this season. I would imagine after his success in their first matchup that he’ll get the work ahead of Wilkins, so I’ll take him to get a score in this one.
NFL Pick: Nyheim Hines anytime TD (Odds to be announced soon)
Arizona Cardinals vs. New England Patriots
Sunday, November 29, 2020 - 1:00 PM ET at Gillette Stadium
It’s the Damiere Byrd revenge game that we’ve all been eagerly anticipating! But it’s not that side of the ball I’m looking at here, it’s another covid related opportunity that I think an outsider might get for the Arizona Cardinals. With Larry Fitzgerald having tested positive it frees up 7-10 targets which will have to go somewhere.
It’s usually the tight ends who take the targets of a slot receiver, so you could look to Dan Arnold if you want, but I’m going to the receiver who I think will be taking his spot in Andy Isabella. It’s price dependant whether I’d want to bet on him, but if he’s +300 or above I think it’s a decent look.
He’s scored a few times in his career, usually on deep shots using his pace well. Going up against a pass defense that ranks in the bottom 5 of the league, with Stephon Gilmore probably trying to take care of Deandre Hopkins and Kyler Murray maybe not at full health. This could mean more for Kirk and Isabella.
NFL Pick: Andy Isabella anytime TD +300 with Bovada (visit our Bovada Review)
Carolina Panthers vs. Minnesota Vikings
Sunday, November 29, 2020 - 1:00 PM ET at US Bank Stadium
The total in this one is around 50 points according to the betting sites. There is a fair amount of injury news affecting lineups in Minnesota. Adam Thielen is already confirmed out and Irv Smith Jnr. is listed as doubtful for the Vikings, leaving them a little short at pass catcher this week.
It might well just mean that they use Dalvin Cook even more heavily than they have been, but his workload is so extreme it seems difficult for them to use him more. He’s already at 70% of the touches in some games this season, it seems hard to imagine they’ll go even higher than that, so it could mean more Alexander Mattison catching out of the backfield?
However, I’m hoping they go to old reliable and give Kyle Rudolph a few more redzone looks, assuming that Irv Smith doesn’t make it to the game. Rudolph has only scored once this year, and only had 4 redzone targets, but with the lack of other options I think he’ll get a couple in this one, so I’ll go for him anytime against a poor Panthers defense.
NFL Pick: Kyle Rudolph anytime TD +200 with BetOnline (visit our BetOnline Review)
