As the second half of the NFL season is underway, teams begin making their post season push. There are several good games scheduled for this weekend with the Chiefs versus the Raiders headlining the action.
Kansas City Chiefs versus Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders took the first game between the two teams this season by the score of 40-32. Kansas City is 8-1 on the season and leading the AFC West, while the Raiders are second at 6-3. Both teams are “burning hot” on the Team Strength Oscillator and the Chiefs have a +30 to +23 advantage on the Power Ranking Indicator. If considering the “over/under”, it’s best to avoid this time with the teams trending on opposite sides of the line, according to the Totals Predictor. Both teams have been consistently performing according to their favorite/underdog status. Look for the Chiefs to come away with a win and increase the lead in the division.
Atlanta Falcons versus New Orleans Saints
Both teams enter play “burning hot”. The Saints are 7-2 and lead the NFC South, while the Falcons are coming in at 3-6. The Saints are a 1.450 to 2.780 favorite with a line of -4.5 and an over/under of 51.5. This is despite the fact that quarterback Drew Brees is out with an injury. Expect a high scoring game, so betting the “over” is a smart play. The Saints have a +28 to +7 advantage on the Power Ranking Indicator. They are also a bit more stable, at +4 to +2 on the Team Volatility Oscillator. Look for the Saints to win by a touchdown, covering the spread.
Tennessee Titans versus Baltimore Ravens
Both teams enter play with a record of 6-3. The Ravens are a 1.37 to 3.175 favorite with a line of -6.5 and over/under of 48.5. Both teams are playing mediocre football at the moment, as their “average” and “average down” statuses on the Team Strength Oscillator indicates. The teams are deadlocked at +27 on the Power Ranking Indicator and both have displayed moderate stability on the Team Volatility Oscillator. The Totals Predictor shows the teams playing in games on opposite sides of the over/under line, therefore it’s best to avoid that bet. As for the outcome of the game, look for the Ravens to win, but the Titans could very well cover the spread.
Miami Dolphins versus Denver Broncos
Miami comes in as one of the surprise teams in the league with a 6-3 record. They take on the 3-6 Broncos. Miami is “burning hot” on the Team Strength Oscillator versus “average down” for the Broncos. The Dolphins also have a +26 to +12 advantage on the Power Ranking Indicator. This is another game where its best to avoid the over/under bet. Note that the Broncos have been the more consistent team according to their favorite/underdog status. The line is not yet out for this game, but the feeling is that the Dolphins are just too strong and will win and cover a spread that is certainly going to be under seven.
Green Bay Packers versus Indianapolis Colts
The Packers continue to roll in the AFC North, coming in with a record of 7-2. They face a surprisingly tough Indianapolis Colts, who have a record of 6-3. The Totals Predictor shows both teams playing in games going “over”, so betting over is a wise choice in this game. The Packers have a +24 to +15 advantage on the Power Ranking Indicator and “burning hot” versus “average up” on the Team Strength Oscillator. Both teams are showing above average stability. Look for the Packers to win, but perhaps by no more than a field goal.
