Manchester United and Arsenal remain keen on Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele who rejected summer transfer amid Red Devils interest

Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele is wanted by Premier League duo Manchester United and Arsenal.

According to reports in Spain, Dembele continues to be eyed by United and Arsenal as doubts remain over his future at Camp Nou.

Ronald Koeman is not a fan of the France international, and he’s selected him for only four starts this season.

However, Ansu Fati’s recent injury – which has ruled the young attacker out for four months – means Koeman has to rely on Dembele for the foreseeable future.

Nonetheless, Barca will continue to listen to offers for Dembele who has a year-and-a-half left on his contract but won’t discuss a new deal.

Sport say the Catalans have been holding talks with Dembele over his potential exit since the summer, although the 23-year-old ‘refused’ to leave Camp Nou despite advances from Man United.

The Red Devils are still keen on Dembele despite their failed summer approaches, but Arsenal have also entered the race for the former Borussia Dortmund ace.

Barca now must decide how they will proceed with Dembele as they require his services for the duration of Fati’s injury, but fear him running down his contract and leaving for free in 2022.

The LaLiga giants would prefer to sell Dembele before his deal expires, as that would at least guarantee them some financial return on the £135.5million they splashed out on the forward three years ago.
