NFL weather has generally been mild so far this season, but that is expected to change with a bang based on current Week 8 forecasts.

Seven (!) games are currently forecasted to see double-digit winds, which have a significant effect on points scored and, therefore, over/under totals.

According to our High Winds PRO Betting System, unders are 456-351-8 (57%) in NFL games played in average winds of at least 10 mph and temperatures above 33 degrees since 2003. Needless to say, this historically-profitable trend makes real-world sense.

Gusty conditions make connecting on deep passes more difficult, which hampers explosive offensive plays. In addition, field goals and extra points become much more challenging in heavy breezes.
