BLAST Premier Fall Showdown has just started but there’s already another event we need to talk about. DreamHack Masters Winter betting is what we’re talking about.
As always, we’re here to give you the information surrounding the event as well as the most notable participating teams. Keep in mind, though, that some of these teams have more matches to play before the start of this event. Just something to keep in mind before you invest your money…
- Competing Teams: 16
- Dates: November 30th to December 6th
- Location: Online/Europe
- Stream: DreamHack CSGO Twitch
- Outright Favorites: Astralis, G2
- Dark Horses: FURIA, Team Liquid
Where to Bet on CSGO?
Of course, we’re starting off with the basics – where to bet on this event? CSGO is a popular game in the online betting community and, as such, has been widely adopted as a premium esports market on online bookmakers.
Well, in short – it means you will be able to find good CSGO bookmakers without any hassle. If that’s not a huge plus, I don’t know what is…
Should I Bet on This Event?
Well, it all depends on your willingness to start your CSGO betting endeavor in such chaotic times. If you’re not fazed by the fact this is an online event, then, by all means, go on. If you’re keeping it real and sticking with offline events only, I’m afraid you’ll have to keep waiting for the first LAN event to pop up. IEM Global Challenge was supposed to be the first post-pandemic LAN event but had to be moved to an online environment due to a surging number of cases in Europe.
So yeah, I guess it’s up to you…
DreamHack Masters Winter Betting Preview | Betting Favorites
In every CSGO event, there’s a short list of teams that are in the title discussions. This time around, it’s the following bunch:
- Astralis
- Heroic
- G2
- Complexity
- FURIA
Before we go any further, we’d like to address the news that just came in – Evil Geniuses will not be participating in this event due to international travel restrictions. They will be replaced by Cloud9. With a potent roster eager to get things done right off the bat, Cloud9 could be the biggest surprise of the event…
Due to the current travel restrictions limiting international travel, @EvilGeniuses won’t be able to participate in the upcoming #DHMasters Winter.@Cloud9 will replace EG in Group A, with their first match being on Monday vs. @GambitEsports at 20:00 CET. pic.twitter.com/Jkq7TNkAPW

With that out of our way, let’s get down to business!
Astralis
Astralis is the first name on the team sheet once again! In the eyes of CSGO bookies all across the globe, Astralis is the favorite team to win DreamHack Masters Winter 2020. I can honestly see where this is coming from – Astralis has been pretty stellar ever since their ESL Pro League S12 title. Third place on DH Open Fall and 4th/6th place on BLAST Premier Regular Season might suggest a different picture, but neither of the two bears much importance for Astralis.
Their road to playoffs isn’t that difficult. First up, they’re going up against GODSENT. It’s going to be tougher than most people think, but the Great Danes should prevail. Next up, Astralis will have to play against the better of Liquid vs. Mousesports. That’s the biggest clash of the group phase – either of the two will give Astralis a proper run for their money.
Generally speaking, Astralis’ legendary roster is a force to be reckoned with in every meaning of the phrase.
Dev1ce is still the number one player on the team – xyp9x and gla1ve are finally back, and I’m sure they want to start another winning streak.
G2
What are G2’s odds of winning this one? Should you bet on them? Well, looking at their schedule – I see no reason not to. They’re going up against Sprout; their opening round should be a breeze. In the second round they’ll be playing against FURIA or North… but most likely FURIA. That’s going to be a fiery contest, mark my words!
Of course, we need a separate paragraph for NiKo. The man’s a real CSGO legend, there’s no other way to put it. He’s been one of the most consistent players over the last few years, and his on-server brilliance is the reason I believe G2 can get a fine result on this event. To all you DreamHack Masters Winter betting enthusiasts reading this – NiKo could be your winning ticker here!
G2 have announced Rekkles, including G2 Niko for CSGO they have easily made two of the biggest signings in their respective Esports this year

G2 in 2021 is going to be a proper force to be reckoned with. Not only have they signed NiKo but Rekkles too. True, Perkz left their LoL division, but that shouldn’t hinder their ability to win LEC next year! Back to CSGO – this new roster seems quite promising. They haven’t fully synced up just yet… but once they do, there will be no stopping them!
FURIA
FURIA needs to make a good impression here. This will be their third European event, and thus far – they have nothing good to show off. The regular season of BLAST Premier Fall was a proper disaster. The Fall Showdown started off on the right foot but there are still two matches to go and FURIA has to win both if they are to qualify for the finals.
As for DreamHack Masters Winter betting opportunities, FURIA against North ought to possess plenty of value. It’s going to be a very tight match, don’t get it twisted, but I expect Brazilians to finally make a statement. If they overcome North in the opening round, it will be a joy to watch them square off against G2 in the next round. That gotta be the match I’m looking forward to the most during the DH Masters Winter group stage.
Heroic
Even though HUNDEN got suspended following ESL and DH ban, Heroic continues to play at an admirable level. At the time of writing, they were ranked as the second-best team in the world right now. Don’t trust me, check out HLTV’s World Ranking refreshed on November 16th. DreamHack Masters Winter betting campaign just wouldn’t be the same without Heroic. They’re the team that’s there to create surprises; to create upsets. They’re coming into this one hoping to continue their great run of form… and I for one think they’ll be a major threat to everyone they get to play against.
You don’t know much about C0ntact Gaming? Let’s just say they’re basically the old CR4ZY roster but without nexa and hunter. They have the same passion, they still have ottoNd and EspiranTo… and they’re always a tough team to play against. If Heroic manages to secure a win against C0ntact, they’ll seek their playoff ticket against the better of Faze vs. Spirit.
Complexity
Can Complexity do something noteworthy on DH Masters Winter? Well, they have the perfect opportunity do to so, that’s for sure! They are in group A, set to play against ENCE in the opening round. If they win, they’ll be going up against the better of Cloud9 vs. Gambit. With EG out of the equation, Complexity’s playoffs odds have gone up. Don’t get me wrong, Cloud9 could prove to be a giant killer, but Complexity has my confidence with jks onboard.
BLAST Premier Fall wasn’t that good for Complexity as a collective, but their IEM XV Beijing EU performance was remarkable. Complexity ventured into the semifinals where they got slapped by Team Vitality. Coming into this one, I’m sure they’ll play their cards right and reach the playoffs again. From there onward, anything could happen, really…
Key Contestants on North American Event
With FURIA, Complexity, and Team Liquid (among others) participating in the European event, who’s left to fill in the spots on the NA event? Chaos and TeamOne are the most notable names here. Triumph is there too, as well as New England Whalers. The title winner will be decided between these four teams, although Chaos and TeamOne are the likeliest of candidates.
Asia and Oceania
Asia and Oceania have separate events, each featuring $15,000 in prize money and four teams. Renegades are the main favorites in Oceania; the same goes for TYLOO on the Asian event. There are no outright winner betting odds for these events, though, meaning you will have to with match-winners and specials. On the bright side, outright betting on DreamHack Winter 2020 is available for both EU and NA events!
Outright Betting on DH Winter 2020
Yessir – outright betting on CSGO is back, boys and girls! All you DreamHack Masters Winter betting enthusiasts reading this must be thrilled right now. If you love CSGO future bets, then this is exactly what you’ve been looking for!
Outright Winner Predictions
Even though Astralis got slapped by NaVi in IEM XV Beijing quarterfinals, they’re still the primary candidate to win DreamHack Masters Winter.
They got through to the semifinals on IEM Beijing, and lost to the same opponent – NaVi. They’ve put up a much better fight, though – the NiKo effect is real!
Team | Odds |
Astralis | +325 |
Heroic | +425 |
G2 | +550 |
Complexity | +700 |
EG | +700 |
FURIA | +700 |
Liquid | +1100 |
Mousesports | +1700 |
Faze | +2200 |
Sprout | +2400 |
Once again, we’re mainly focusing on European DreamHack Masters Winter betting endeavors. The North American event isn’t really attractive considering the lineup of participating teams. We’re here for the big boys which is why we’re focusing on the European event!
On a side note – given the newest information (Cloud9 replacing EG), I’ll have to consider a crazy outright winner wager on Cloud9. I reckon that one’s going to have plenty of value at a low stake.
Other Popular CSGO Special Bets
The list does not end here! There’s more to CSGO special bets than outrights and other long-terms. Most esports bookmakers offer all sorts of crazy in-game specials. These vary from event to event, with the Majors and other massive CSGO spectacles getting special treatment. In the case of DreamHack Masters Winter betting odds, you’ll find stuff like per-map winner, correct score, total maps over/under and similar.
With those words, we’re all done here! It’s been quite the journey – hope our DreamHack Masters Winter betting predictions will do the trick and help you win some money in the coming days.
