In CSGO betting in both 2018 and 2019, one team stood alone as my kryptonite for two consecutive years – Sprout. This German-based organization reached double digit losing streaks for me in the spring to summer of those years. It became a meme, at least within my circles, to the point I still have to take a deep breath each time I am positioned on their matches. So whether for or against this green team I always have my doubts whether I am pricing them correctly over the long haul.
Today’s showing of Sprout was a bit…underwhelming? Is that too obvious a statement. A singular round on the T-side of the opening half of their map pick was all they had to show for. Sprout isn’t going to beat many teams here in the firepower department so their strats and teamplay have to be far more effective to stand a chance. Even if we are to say they were likely to lose, this was an off day.
Moving to the CIS faceoff we saw Virtus Pro once again get the best of Spirit. I was on this series to go to three maps and fortunately they traded one another’s picks to get there. The final series of the day was a South American derby between the current powerhouse of Furia and a relatively unknown Argentinian squad Isurus. The dogs delivered a brilliant opening half T-side on their choice of Overpass. They were a bit fortunate in the clutch situations but winning the half would have been impressive, let alone running away to the tune of a nine round lead. Furia returned the favor on their pick of Mirage before holding on for a 16-14 victory on the decider, Inferno.
I was critical of the pricing of C9 last week against quality Virtus Pro and OG sides. Well we have seen a bit of a good reaction to their first two losses and I am happy to engage on their number. Godsent will be sporting their new IGL, Emi, for the first time against Mousesports. Emi is a vet at the challenger level of the European scene. He has been a part of several talented rosters, including one from which Hunter and Nexa were sniped by G2. The swap is some much needed additionaly firepower to a talented European-mix roster.

PLEASE READ:
Always risking 1u, never ‘to win’ 1u. If I expose two, that still remains risking 2u, not betting 2.5 to win 1 simply because the price is shorter than what I have. A standard stake here is 1u = 1% of your bankroll. This will keep you in the game instead of busting out every other day because you decided to be stupid and put your entire bankroll down on 8 wagers. If you have worse prices you don’t bet more to compensate. Please do not attach my plays in parlays, you are costing yourself extra money trying to cut corners.
